DPGO is seeking a Technical Trainer which will be responsible for:

Analyzing training needs and employee/stakeholder skillsets

Utilizing the need assessment to set training priorities

Developing and maintaining comprehensive training programs complete with lesson plans, course outlines, schedules, and assignments for internal and external stakeholders, such as vendors

Utilizing training development software such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate to develop comprehensive procurement and grant training programs to be posted and maintained in the MyPurpose Learning Management System (LMS) for internal staff

Identifying, assisting in the sourcing of, and maintaining access to a LMS system that allows external user access

Utilizing various information sources and working with subject matter experts to develop course content, presentations, worksheets, how-to documents, and other training materials

Conducting in-person, virtual, and on-demand training sessions, webinars, or workshops for groups or individuals

Monitoring and analyzing training results, evaluating effectiveness, and making continual improvements

Reporting/presenting results to management

Online help and troubleshooting

Maintaining certification documentation for internal and external business partners

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience

Proficient in Microsoft Product Suites (Word, Excel, and Visio)

Prior experience in a training role for an IT Application

Two years of professional experience in planning, coordinating, or conducting staff development and training courses, personnel administration or teaching, or professional experience in providing or administering human services or governmental programs

Excellent interpersonal skills and highly experienced at dealing with clients/users at all levels, singly and in groups

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching/training experience

Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

Demonstrating a high level of working knowledge of Training Methodologies for Adult Learners

Ability to handle extreme workloads with general direction

Relationship management and facilitation skills

Proficient problem-solving skills

Technical writing skills

Must be detail-oriented

Must be self-motivated and able to work independentl y and in conjunction with team members

Marketing or graphic design experience would be a plus to ensure training materials are visually appealing
