Lead Line Cook Responsibilities
Supervise Kitchen Staff: Oversee the work of line cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring that all food is prepared according to recipes and standards.
Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes, often handling more complex recipes and ensuring timely meal delivery. Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line; ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with necessary ingredients and equipment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in senior living preferred
Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
Great organizational skills a must
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
Must be able to work weekends.
