WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Construction Manager for our
Raleigh, NC

The Construction Manager will perform contract administration, project scheduling reviews, general coordination, utility coordination, quality control, decision-making and supervision to ensure projects are completed within the stipulated design, time and allocated budget. Supports coordination with project stakeholders and Fed/State/local government agencies as appropriate. Support cost estimates and projections/cash flow/estimate at completion for projects. Schedule and conduct design and construction progress meetings. Coordinate activities with subconsultants to assure timely completion of all tasks. Coordinates construction maintenance of traffic plans, utility shutdown requests, impact notices, disruption notices, contingency planning and other tasks as needed. Compile and analyze technical data and prepare reports concerning project related activities.
Your Impact
Performs contract administration, document control, and project scheduling reviews.
Coordinates with multiple personnel including designers, contractors and other stakeholders to insure projects are completed within the stipulated time and allocated budget.
Coordination of daily aspects of the project with internal and external stakeholders
Ensures proper construction methods are utilized
Provides information and responses to inquiries from contractors, clients, and other stakeholders
Assists with evaluation of change order requests, requests for information, and other change issues
Verify conformance to the projects quality control plan in accordance with quality assurance requirements
Assist in maintaining project files for all required administrative items including, but not limited to, submittals, RFIs, payroll records, field changes and directives, general correspondence, and pay applications
Ensures final project deliverables (As-Builts & O&M Manuals) meet client standards.
Provides risk management feedback on all assigned projects prior to and during construction
Who You Are Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience
Requires 7-10 years of related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience)
Knowledge of the principles and practices of Construction methods and practices of building design and construction
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
