Overview
BayCare is seeking a Revenue Management Specialist to join our dynamic Reimbursement team. In this role, you will assume a leadership position within your area of specialty, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with CMS guidelines. You will play a key part in preparing cost reports, performing rate modeling, and leading audits that impact reimbursement strategies across BayCare’s healthcare facilities. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports for multiple facilities to ensure compliance with CMS regulations. Perform rate modeling for inpatient and outpatient services and collaborate with contracting teams to implement updates in the patient accounting system. Lead audits for reimbursement areas such as S-10 Charity Care and Wage Index, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Participate in month-end close activities, including posting Medicare settlements and reconciling non-patient cash. Act as a subject matter expert for reimbursement areas such as DSH, Home Office Cost Reports, and protested items. Mentor interns and team members, providing guidance and optimizing workflow. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve Reimbursement Division goals. Communicate regulatory changes and their impact to leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required). CPA certification (Preferred). 8 years of healthcare finance or reimbursement experience required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Location:
