Senior Account Manager (Fully Remote Opportunity)
Title: Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines
Fully Remote (EST/CST only). Supporting: Columbia, SC. Book Focus: General, Contractors.
Requirements: Active property & casualty license; minimum 5+ years experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager.
Preferred: CISR, CIC, CRIS or CPCU designations; 7-10+ years experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager.

About the Role Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. Coordinate day‑to‑day administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and ensure no errors or omissions. Serve as a subject‑matter expert for the account management team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
Lead daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
Manage policy expirations and renewals.
Conduct renewal process: research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
Monitor accounts receivable, take action on delinquent accounts, and collect outstanding balances.
Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
Communicate frequently with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.
Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
Active property & casualty licensing; professional designation (e.g., CIC) preferred.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
High school diploma or equivalent.
