Saluda Grade
Overview
The Analyst/Associate, Asset Management, will support senior asset managers and third-party service providers with loan and REO asset management, including developing processes and procedures to enhance platform effectiveness and portfolio performance as the firm scales.
Base Pay Range $125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Perform loan and REO financial analysis, monitoring the firm’s portfolio quarterly and analyzing actual performance versus underwriting and budget.
Update market statistics, property and investment valuations, and identify asset and investment risks, establishing a system to track loan covenants and early warning indicators.
Support REO investments, including property projections and scenario analysis.
Produce and present quarterly and ad‑hoc asset management reports to senior management and third‑party investors, updating QARs, coordinating information flow, and reviewing distribution.
Coordinate investor responses, finalize reports, and work with servicers and senior asset managers to analyze, process, approve, and facilitate loan draws.
Assist in REO takeovers, loan modifications, and lender approval processes, including coordination with property managers, bank accounts, and due diligence requests.
Travel periodically to inspect existing portfolio investment properties.
Enhance and develop asset management processes and procedures, managing project migration from Word to Excel to database.
Maintain and monitor the loan database, onboarding new transactions.
Qualifications
2 to 3 years of related commercial real estate experience focused on real estate credit asset management.
Strategic/critical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Financial analytic and underwriting skills (DCF analysis, Excel, Argus, and Co‑Star are a plus).
Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment and work collaboratively.
Project management skills, with a strong plus for applying artificial intelligence solutions to processes.
Location New York (preferred), Atlanta, and Denver (considered).
