Job Overview This position is responsible for achieving sales and gross profit targets, growing market share, and becoming the go‑to person for endodontists in their respective sales territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process, build long‑lasting customer relationships, and will have a strong track record of closing a high volume of sales. The Endodontic Specialty Sales Consultant will be an expert in the company’s endodontic products with the expertise to sell both consumables and capital equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve sales and gross profit targets for territory following a defined sales process.

Present, promote and sell products through extensive product knowledge.

Conduct product demonstrations and overcome customer objections.

Drive both capital and consumable sales; make cold calls, identify prospects, set appointments, and manage sales cycles to close new business in all endodontic categories.

Create a sales strategy for territory that includes growing existing customer relationships and identifying and leveraging key influencers.

Establish, develop and maintain exceptional business and customer relationships.

Perform cost‑benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers.

Evaluate new sales tools and applications for feedback and further development.

Adhere to funnel management, work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses using available tools and CRM.

Attend sales meetings, dental conventions, and seminars as needed.

Respond in a timely, professional manner to customer concerns and execute follow‑up actions to ensure issues/opportunities are communicated to appropriate departments.

Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Demonstrate ethical behavior by adhering to company and divisional organization policies and procedures.

Conduct business in a professional and collaborative manner with all internal personnel in the execution of company programs as directed.

Specific Knowledge & Skills

Successful track record of selling capital and consumable products.

Ability to engage and service customers to drive continued product utilization.

Strong business acumen and time‑management skills.

Ability to help clinicians and their staff adapt to change.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Independent work capability with the ability to complete assignments within prescribed guidelines.

Technology proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce.com).

Strong understanding of industry practices.

High proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures.

Good planning, organizational, and decision‑making skills.

Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and public‑speaking skills.

Minimum Work Experience Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in relevant professional experience.

Preferred Education Typically a Bachelor’s Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline; a Master’s degree or global equivalent is a plus. Industry certifications are advantageous; professional certification may be required to advance.

Travel / Physical Demands Ability to travel at least 70% of the time. No special physical demands required.

Candidate should be located in one of the following major cities: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN.

Salary & Compensation The posted range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role and becomes fully proficient. Other compensation may include commission and performance bonuses. The position is eligible for a commission not reflected in the posted range.
