Who They Are
We have been retained by an 80-year-old, family-owned building materials distributor in the Chicago area to identify an Outside Sales Rep to assume control of their largest territory. This salesperson will call on local fabricators, installers, and general contractors to present and close decorative surface, laminated panel, and hardwood solutions. This position comes with a base salary plus commission, a company car, and good benefits.
What You'll Do
Develop and grow relationships with customers
Plan and execute sales strategies
Identify and track residential and commercial projects
Work alongside product managers and vendors
Participate in local and national trade shows, industry associations, etc.
What You'll Need
College degree or relevant work history
3+ years of experience in outside sales
Experience with wood and wood products, hardware, and decorative surfaces preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Computer literacy
