The Tact Corporation is a leading provider of education staffing solutions, partnering with school districts, charter schools, and educational organizations to deliver high-quality teachers, paraprofessionals, substitutes, and specialized support staff. We are expanding our footprint and seeking an experienced Business Development & Account Manager with strong supervisory experience to join our team. Position Overview
The Business Development & Account Manager is responsible for driving new business growth, managing district partnerships, and overseeing client service delivery. This position requires someone with
education staffing or staffing industry experience , exceptional relationship-building ability, and previous supervisory or team leadership experience. You will lead internal collaboration with recruiters and coordinators, provide guidance to support teams, and ensure clients receive best-in-class service. Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within K–12 school districts, charter networks, and education agencies. Conduct outreach, presentations, and high-level meetings with district decision‑makers. Build and maintain a healthy, strategic sales pipeline. Account Management
Act as the main point of contact for assigned districts and education partners. Ensure high fulfillment levels by guiding and coordinating internal recruitment efforts. Conduct regular check‑ins, performance reviews, and service evaluations with clients. Expand existing accounts through consultative selling and solution recommendations. Provide direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to support staff such as coordinators, or onboarding specialists. Oversee day‑to‑day operational workflows to ensure client needs are met on time. Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training team members as needed. Set expectations, monitor accountability, and help drive a high-performing team environment. Partner with recruiting, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery. Manage and update CRM with accurate activity, forecasting, and pipeline data. Provide leadership with insights on market trends and strategic opportunities. Required Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in education staffing, K–12 services, or the staffing industry
(required). Supervisory or team leadership experience coordinators, or account support staff. Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or account management. Strong understanding of school district procurement processes and staffing challenges. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Bullhorn, etc.). Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multi‑district client relationships. Background supporting substitute staffing, SPED staffing, or paraprofessional services.
