Overview
Job Description - Market Manager NORAM - Hotel Business Travel (170005FB). The Market Manager’s primary responsibility in their assigned territory is to initiate, develop and maintain a high quality portfolio of hotel products for RoomIt’s fast-growing global customer base. You will be responsible for growing unique content revenues with individual properties and local hotel chains while maximizing supplier yield. You will be responsible for establishing strategic relationship with these suppliers, and will represent the face of CWT in the market. Develop and maintain a high quality portfolio of hotel products (i.e. relevant, attractive and competitive) Sign new unique content agreements with qualified strategic partners (at chain and hotel level) Grow number of unique content transactions in collaboration with CWT’s customer facing teams Ensure supplier yield is maximized Account Management
Develop and sustain strategic partners’ relationships by providing ongoing strategic and consultative support (relevant market insights, superior support services) to hotel partners Ensure best quality of content (optimized and competitive content, rates and availability) Collaborate with internal teams to ensure best supplier support On-going reviews and negotiations Account Management – Regional Presence
Represent the face of CWT in Market Manager’s allocated geographic area Support global chains locally Manage Local chains Represent the interface between CWT and our suppliers locally Business Development
Develop and implement business development strategy to consolidate strategic Unique Content supplier portfolio Communicate RoomIt’s unique value proposition within the marketplace to drive awareness of our brand and build relationships for the long term Show deep understanding of customers’ needs and local competitive environment Lead supplier contract negotiation and optimization, and sign high yield agreements with qualified strategic partners (at chain and hotel level) Manage complex agreements ensuring they benefit CWT, our suppliers and our customers Ensure Pipeline database is kept up to date in accordance with agreed guidelines, reflecting all activities undertaken and planned, and maintaining a 100% accuracy Work with internal supplier & client facing teams to develop sales strategies that further our commitment to best practices and global collaboration Perform other duties as assigned Account Management – Supplier Portfolio
Manage a dedicated supplier portfolio composed of local hotel chains, and independent hotel groups Grow supplier revenues (focus on volume and yield) Ensure supplier revenues are fully collected Control and manage content quality (best rates and availability vs. competition) Partner Relationships & Promotions
Develop and sustain strong partner relationships Secure seasonal deals, dynamic promotions within the guidelines set by Management to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts Constantly explore new revenue opportunities linked to distribution of bedrooms but also ancillary services (food & beverage, meetings & events, etc.) Operational Responsibilities
Manage preferred suppliers at local/regional level Drive quarterly reviews at local, regional or global level Serve as the industry expert to deliver valuable programs to CWT, our clients and suppliers Support strategic global suppliers at local / regional level, in alignment with global supplier owner Execute effectively based on KPI metrics Continuously consolidate knowledge of the ever changing travel landscape Liaise with Operations, Marketing, Revenue Management, Program Management, Traveler Services, Sales teams to effectively communicate and coordinate supplier agreements *LI AF *FB AF Qualifications
Education
College/university or Master’s degree; degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Business Administration is a plus but not required Experience
Experience and knowledge of hotel sales and distribution and/or global travel management are strong assets 2-5 years success in selling within a B2B capacity, experience within the travel or hotel industry an asset 2-5 years’ experience in supplier management and/or hotel negotiations High degree of business acumen, extensive problem solving skills and establishing relationships at all levels of an organization both internally and externally Preferred experience within the corporate travel, hospitality, OTA, airline, GDS sector or other global network service related companies Specific skills
