Duties and Responsibilities
Produce high‑quality, personal, and accurate forecasts for afternoon and early evening newscasts.
Create state‑of‑the‑art graphics that effectively tell the weather story of the day and what’s to come.
Learn or improve skills with augmented reality.
Stay active on social media and provide strong web coverage.
Have a passion for severe weather.
Be willing to work alternate hours when needed for severe weather coverage.
Deliver live shots and weather coverage that informs and keeps viewers engaged.
Be involved in community and signature station events.
Be a team player.
Qualifications/Requirements
Strong knowledge of meteorology with an emphasis on accuracy and personalized forecasts.
Leadership and teamwork skills with energy, confidence, and personality for newscasts and newsroom.
Opportunities for growth with regular feedback and on‑site training with our experienced meteorologists.
Experience using WSI and augmented reality to create visual, cutting‑edge weather graphics tailored to our viewers’s lives.
