Field Account Manager - Bioprocess Solutions - Remote / Bay Area, CA
Join our growing global life science company, Sartorius, and be part of our Bioprocess Solutions portfolio in the Bay Area (remote position). This role will help fuel growth by serving as a trusted business partner to customers in the biopharmaceutical arena.
The incumbent will be a self‑motivated, entrepreneurial professional adept at identifying new opportunities and building productive customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will reside in the San Francisco Bay area.
Responsibilities
Promote and sell Sartorius’ products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Assess and analyze customer needs, respond to enquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in the assigned territory as needed.
Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
Manage and build strong customer relationships for long‑term partnership.
Manage and grow an existing sales base within the assigned account and develop new contacts and applications.
Influence and sell to all levels of an organization and demonstrate the ability to persuade through logic and bottom‑line reasoning.
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence in the region.
Support the Sales Manager / Director to achieve annual sales targets and fulfill corporate objectives within assigned accounts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in a science discipline or equivalent relevant practical experience that demonstrates strong ability and competency in the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry.
Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline is desired but not essential.
Minimum of 3+ years’ relevant industry experience, preferably within a GMP or GLP environment.
Sales experience and/or customer‑facing experience in the biotechnology industry.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Compensation Base salary: $90,000 – $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a sales incentive plan and car allowance.
