Overview
Insurance Sales & Customer Service Representative. Location: Queens, NY. Job Type: Full-Time | In-Office.
About Us Jay IS is a growing insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service and the best coverage options to our clients. We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Insurance Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team in our agency office.
Position Summary The Insurance Sales is responsible for assisting clients in the office, providing excellent customer support, and selling insurance products that meet customer needs. This role involves relationship building, policy servicing, and helping drive agency growth through sales.
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, professional customer service to walk-in and call-in clients.
Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate insurance products (Auto, Home, Renters, Life, etc.).
Process policy changes, payments, billing questions, and other service-related tasks.
Follow up on leads, make outbound calls, and schedule appointments.
Prepare quotes and explain coverage options clearly and confidently.
Maintain accurate customer records and documentation in agency systems.
Contribute to sales goals and overall agency performance.
Support the daily operations of the agency office.
Qualifications
Previous customer service or sales experience (insurance experience preferred but not required).
Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
Comfortable talking with customers and presenting insurance solutions.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn agency software.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
[Optional] Active insurance license (Property & Casualty / Life & Health) or willingness to obtain one.
