Base pay range : $85,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr.
Responsibilities
Use artistic skill to develop inventive and imaginative ideas to create high‑quality, visually appealing, and original artwork from rough concept to highly refined finished products, in both printed and digital formats. Some products include briefings, electronic messaging, and technical documentation for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Apply creative and professional expertise to design products for printing on high‑end digital color printers and large format plotter/printers.
Provide graphic art support for ceremonies and large events.
Optimize the quality and usability of documentations/presentations using graphics and other formatting/style enhancements.
Verify accuracy of technical documentation to ensure it is complete, meets editorial and government specifications based on strategic messaging, and adheres to standards for quality, branding, appropriate use of typography, content balance, and style format.
Hand‑on production requirements consisting of setting up and operating a variety of production equipment, including large format HP plotters, Xerox high‑volume printers, copiers, bindery equipment, badge printers, disk duplicators, and more.
Provide limited ancillary photography support to supplement primary photographers/videographers in meeting efficiencies and emerging Agency requirements.
Assist with audio/visual execution of live events.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to work in a very fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to support other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
A bachelor's degree in graphic arts discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, LiveCycle Designer, etc.) on Windows (PC) systems as well as Keynote and other industry‑standard software on Apple (MAC) systems.
5+ years of professional experience.
Experience with the graphics creative process.
Ability to multi‑task with exceptional organizational skills.
Capability to be self‑directed, efficient, and dependable while working in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent proofreading and careful attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD programs.
Active Secret Clearance.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
