Job Summary:
Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our growing team. This role is fundamental to our distribution process, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled with precision and speed. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing products for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy are paramount to our operations. You'll be navigating our warehouse using pick lists or electronic scanners, carefully selecting items, and ensuring they are ready for packing and dispatch. A good understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory systems is a plus. This position requires physical stamina, involving prolonged standing, walking, and frequent lifting of packages up to 45 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and collect products from warehouse locations as per order sheets.
- Utilize RF scanners to record picked items and update inventory status.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for consolidation and packing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move goods.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- Wear appropriate PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with scanning devices is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on your feet for entire shifts.
- Capable of repetitive lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE .
