" Social Media Influence Facilitator Wharton County Junior College Salary: $42,528.00 - $49,194.00 Annually Job Type: Administrative Full Time Job Number: 2511 A 040 Location: Wharton, TX Department: President's Area Closing: 1/9/2026 10:00 AM Central General Description The Social Media Influence Facilitator reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is responsible for the college's official social media pages. The position's duties include planning, creation and posting of various stories, photographs and videos to social media. The position will be tasked with covering student activities, athletic competitions, college events, etc. In addition, the position will assist with various MARCOM office responsibilities, including answering phones, coordinating with vendors, learning the college's PO system, and providing office coverage when the Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist is on vacation or ill. Requirements This position requires a Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field or four (4) years of full-time related work experience or a combination of education and related work experience. This position requires in-depth knowledge of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), clerical and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as excellent writing skills, communication skills, and telephone skills. This position requires basic photography skills and the ability to utilize basic photo-editing software. This position requires strong organizational skills, an initiative towards completion of assignments, attention to details, and excellent follow through skills on all assignments and projects. A criminal background check is required.
