Summary
The Senior Analyst - Customs Brokerage position is responsible for accurate and timely transmission of customs entries to US Customs and Border Protection. The essential duties and responsibilities include: gathering required documents and information, and perform review and assessment of accuracy for customs entry and ISF. They will also monitor ISF requests and complete ISF filing in accurate and timely manner as well as process customs entries and post entry work.
Compensation
$54,000-$59,000/Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selected)
Responsibilities
Process import US Customs entries and other government agency declarations
Gather required documents and perform document review and assessment of accuracy, verifying key data elements (C.O.O, IOR, terms of sale, NDC, NEV, etc) for entry and ISF to ensure adherence to customer SOP's, federal/international regulations and Glovis America's SOP.
Closely monitor ISF requests and complete ISF filing in accurate and timely manner
Process import US Customs documentation including CF 3461, 7501, 7512 and transmit to US Customs via ABI system
Process PGAs declarations including FDA, DOT, FCC, F&W, TTB, USDA, and etc.
Review and monitor all customs release, rejections, and other correspondence as appropriate
Responsible for timely and accurate communication with all related parties including sea offices, customer, CBP, PGAs, etc
Prepare entry documents for Customs approval and Duty payments
Perform audit review on all assigned entry files and duty payments to US Customs
Process customs related AR/AP invoices
Process post entry work
Process PEA, ruling requests, CF 28's, refunds, protests, and drawbacks
Review and monitor post entry work and other correspondence as appropriate
Respond to inquiries from customer, oversea offices, and resolve issues
Monitor and respond to customer inquiries in timely manner
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendation to management
Prepare and present reports on a regular basis
Prepare weekly report
Create monthly AR/AP report
Create monthly KPI report
Other duties as assigned

Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required
Basic knowledge of INCO terms, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Customs regulations and other government agency requirement Required
Minimum 2 years' experience in Customs Brokerage entry-writing experience Required
Basic knowledge of the process of shipment coordination and trucking companies, airlines, steamship lines, ports, and warehouses Required
Accurate and rapid data entry skills Required
Ability to work with demanding deadlines Required
Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate and have the ability to efficiently resolve problems Required
Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks; must be organized Required
Understanding requirements of timely delivery of import cargo Required
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
3 - 5 years of related experience in Customs Brokerage and/or Logistics Required
4-7 years of related experience in Customs Brokerage and/or Logistics Preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
Repetitive use of hand/graspingproduct, writing, and typing
Stand/walk
Possibility of domestic travel - 5%
