Public Works Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist The City of Fredericksburg is accepting applications for a Public Works Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist. This individual will serve as a vital liaison between the Public Works Department and the community and be responsible for enhancing communication, fostering transparency, and promoting public understanding of infrastructure projects, maintenance operations, and sustainability initiatives. Additionally, this position will support broader citywide marketing and engagement efforts, including digital content creation, media relations, and strategic outreach campaigns.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field and four years of experience in communications or community engagement is required; a strong understanding of public sector or municipal communications is preferred.
