Senior Customer Sales Representative – Avenue Logistics

Kansas City, MO
Opportunity to earn substantial income while working in a dynamic, fast‑growing logistics company with the highest paying commission plan.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain long‑lasting relationships with customers, securing capacity, negotiating rates, and tracking freight.
Act as intermediary between shippers and transportation companies, ensuring seamless material delivery.
Seek new customers, partners, and vendors to expand the customer network.
Continuously build and expand the book of business by adding new leads.
Drive new account growth via prospecting, sourcing, and account development.
Collaborate with carrier partners and shippers to continually seek new solutions and opportunities.
Improve the quality of transportation partners and the shipper base.
Qualifications
5+ years experience at a 3PL in a sales‑focused role; preferably direct experience in Customer Sales or Business Development at a top‑ten freight brokerage.
Motivation to earn a substantial income through a commission‑driven compensation plan.
Experience developing, maintaining, and servicing own customer accounts while growing existing accounts.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure.
Analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills.
Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
Competitive and intrinsically motivated mentality.
Self‑motivated with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Thrives in a fast‑paced environment that requires problem‑solving and decision making.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Knowledge of market and industry trends.
Ability to price lanes effectively and strategically.
