Social Media Seasonal Assistant
Department: Digital Media
Reports to: Director of Social Media
Status: Seasonal, Hourly
Job Summary This is a seasonal, hourly paid position within the Kansas City Chiefs Digital Media Department. Successful candidates for this role will help create engaging content and further our social strategy by following industry, league and fan trends while developing a deep knowledge of the NFL platform.
Responsibilities
Assist with content ideation, creation and posting across ancillary social media accounts including Chiefs Cheer, Kingdom Crew and GEHA Field at Arrowhead
Edit short video moments and update graphics for use across social media platforms
Provide coverage at organization and community events in KC metro
Assist in optimizing social channels by researching latest trends, pop culture and best practices
Assist Social/Digital Media on gameday
Support video and graphics teams as needed
Other duties as assigned
Competencies
Strong grasp of English grammar rules and writing ability
Must work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work under tight time constraints
Organization and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Willingness to learn new programs and processes
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or related field
Proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro and other applications within Adobe Suite
Elite knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Snapchat
