About the Role The Corporate Tax Manager will report directly to the Vice President – Tax, providing support in all areas of income tax provision and compliance. Key partners include outside tax advisors and the OLAPLEX accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including related disclosures for SEC reporting
Develop, support, and maintain the Company’s uncertain tax positions
Prepare tax‑related journal entries and tax accounts reconciliations
Responsible for all income tax compliance matters, including reviewing of Federal and State tax returns and managing tax notices and audits
Prepare and file state franchise tax and gross‑receipts tax returns
Work effectively with other departments of corporate finance and compile data required for tax computations and filings
Research and develop tax positions and draft memorandums for tax issues as they arise
Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
Monitor tax and accounting rules related to domestic and international topics and provide insight as to the potential impact on the company
Research, monitor, and analyze existing and proposed key tax legislation
Assist with transfer pricing documentation
Respond to ad‑hoc requests from internal and external business partners and taxing authorities
Stay current on the latest technology developments to improve and automate tax processes
About You
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation
Minimum five years of directly related corporate income tax provision and compliance experience in public accounting or with a multinational entity
Advanced knowledge of ASC 740 and research abilities with effective communication skills
Excellent knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and ability to highlight unexpected results
Strong verbal, written, computer, interpersonal, analytical, and technical communication and presentation skills, including MS Office proficiency
Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively within firm timelines
Our Total Rewards The annual base pay for this position is
$100,000 – $130,000
with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held, and geographic location.
