Responsibilities
Drive the strategy, pipeline, and agenda for banks and credit unions in the Southwest region.
Identify strategic opportunities and demonstrate value to financial institutions and their clients.
Be the face of Visa, drive thought leadership and vision.
Continuously review market and competitive landscape, identifying opportunities and strategies that position Visa as a market leader.
Maintain a strong focus on execution and deliverables, holding a proven record of exceeding goals.
Identify strategic innovation and development opportunities through a deep understanding of the customer's business.
Master CRM systems/tools to manage territory and pipeline.
Influence client vision for the future of electronic payments in line with Visa’s strategies.
Develop and implement new, creative approaches that align client and Visa objectives.
Participate in and lead meetings, serve as an internal adviser and resource.
Ensure implementation of annual goals and plans.
Lead and participat in ad‑hoc internal projects.
Assist marketing and product development in launching new products or expanding existing products within current and new accounts.
Provide training and leadership throughout the Sales organization.
Assist in onboarding new employees, focusing on career development.
Challenge the status quo, explore new business approaches, and implement ideas on behalf of the team.
Seek ways to expand the scope of the role within and outside Visa.
Represent Visa at industry meetings and trade shows, generate and lead external speaking engagements.
Qualifications
12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years with a PhD.
15+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12+ years with an Advanced Degree; PhD with 9+ years of experience.
Understanding of payment networks.
Experienced solution sales leader with a record of delivering results, identifying partnership paths, structuring creative financial constructs, and negotiating contracts to close quickly.
Strong customer‑facing communication skills; experience managing relationships and cultivating deep, trusted partnerships.
Excellent presentation skills; executive presence, comfortable presenting with C‑suite.
Self‑motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, capable of influencing across multiple levels.
Demonstrated thought leadership, aptitude to challenge status quo, identify opportunities to innovate.

Varies on department needs.
Travel Requirements:
5–10% of the time.

Office setting; sit/stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, operate standard office equipment.
Salary Range:
$186,800.00 – $271,050.00 per year (may include potential sales incentive payments). Eligible for bonus and equity. Visa offers a comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Wellness Program).
