Asset Protection Specialist

is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. They must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates while supporting key asset protection and store objectives.

Responsibilities

Identify incidents of theft and fraud and monitor store security measures (CCTV, exception reports, and Electronic Article Surveillance).

Prevent financial loss and drive a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; and testify in criminal and civil court actions as required.

Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.

Demonstrate integrity at all times and address asset protection and operational concerns of all store associates while supporting store objectives.

Qualifications / Requirements

Ability to perform in a security-focused role with integrity and discretion.

Experience coordinating with law enforcement and handling evidence (where applicable).
