Position:
Asset Protection Specialist
at
The Home Depot . The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. They prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions. They report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Identify incidents of theft and fraud; review CCTV and exception reports; monitor store security measures.
Prepare accurate case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; testify in court actions when required.
Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
Maintain integrity and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of associates, vendors, and customers.
Support safety, environmental program compliance, and shrink elimination in the store.
Qualifications
Strong integrity and ethical standards.
Ability to analyze loss prevention data and use relevant tools and reports.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and collaborate with law enforcement when needed.
