Outside Sales Representative
Founded in Denver in 1987, QED aims to provide high-quality electrical products and services to the industry. QED employs over 500 associates across 18 branches within Arizona and Colorado to serve commercial and residential contractors, industrial facilities, and OEM businesses.
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the point person on key accounts. We will count on you to service these key accounts and solicit new business to maximize profitability. You will position QED as the primary supplier of electrical supplies by delivering exceptional customer service, communication, and solutions.
What you’ll do:
Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and recommending QED’s value‑added services and programs tailored to their business objectives
Participate in training sessions and sales meetings
Work actively with key suppliers to develop business with new and existing customers
Implement strategy to increase sales and profits for key accounts
Deliver presentations on new products, answer questions on products and company services
Develop and maintain technical knowledge of company products and supplier offerings, application features, advantages, and benefits
Meet or exceed annual sales and profit budgets working with new and established customers
What you’ll bring:
4‑year degree preferred
4–5 years of experience in sales preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Proficiency in basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
Possess in‑depth knowledge of QED computer systems, Microsoft Office, etc.
Team player and abide by QED's strong core values and beliefs
Strong ability to negotiate and be persuasive
Can work independently and collaboratively
Metric‑oriented, competitive attitude
Define long‑term objectives while maintaining the ability to adjust to changing situations
Salary: $75,000 + Other compensation
