Job Description You will be driving the sales of Kongsberg Precision Cutting Solutions to existing and new direct customers in the central part of Germany. Your role will be to further build our market share by becoming their preferred partner for cutting solutions. You will be part of a strong DE sales and service team and lead the business and drive growth as part of the Kongsberg ongoing growth strategy in packaging and print, display and signage markets. The role is focused on direct sales and it may include some time providing sales process support to channel partners in your territory.
Main responsibilities and key activities:
Understand the customer needs and build relationships to develop powerful propositions to meet the customer’s needs and win business.
Sales prospecting for new business in the target markets and regions.
Managing existing accounts in Kongsberg’s main markets including corrugated packaging, signage and display, flexible packaging converters, flexo trade shops, and any other markets where our solutions bring value to the customer.
Sell full Kongsberg portfolio including systems and service plans with focus towards value selling to customers and prospects
Become the trusted business partner to our customers and create add-on sales opportunities in cooperation with the local application sales manager.
Delivery of sales targets.
Keep abreast of developments & business opportunities in the markets you cover and be focused on the follow-up of these opportunities by applying appropriate sales, negotiation & closing techniques.
Implement the go-to-market strategy for new products and new markets.
Provide market intelligence and feedback on customer needs and competitors' pricing & position in the respective segments to enable appropriate marketing plans to be developed for driving growth.
Be disciplined in using SalesForce and the various CRM & IT application tools available in our organization to enable you to better manage your sales process and share information
Qualifications and professional knowledge:
Strong sales experience in a high-tech B2B environment/ in digital printing/ packaging or commercial solutions/ IT. You have extensive practical experience with direct sales. Knowledge of indirect sales channel management would be an advantage.
An understanding of the corrugated packaging and sign & display markets.
Broad understanding of digital finishing solutions.
Knowledge about finance fundamentals.
A flexible attitude to working and you are willingness to travel more than 50%.
Hands-on production experience with Kongsberg systems would be an advantage
Desired competencies:
Commercially astute with the ability to apply pragmatic commercial approaches in sales negotiations and closings
Successful in both up-selling to existing customers and developing new customers
Proficient in English and German
Located in central Germany, preferable in Postcode area 5
Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
Willing to continuously learn and improve
An excellent communicator and have a willingness to succeed
