Responsibilities The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strategic relationships through both distributor sales training and direct customer engagement. This role centers on initiating, developing, and managing key sales relationships; identifying customer needs and emerging market opportunities; and executing targeted sales strategies to maximize performance and customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager plays a critical role in achieving or exceeding sales targets, profitability goals, and customer service excellence. This position collaborates closely with technical support, training, and management teams, with a focus on global sales support and direct sales efforts within the United States and Canada.
Manage direct relationships with distributors and customers, ensuring achievement of sales targets and market expansion objectives.
Drive sales and market presence by negotiating directly with end users through in-person meetings, product demonstrations, presentations, and virtual engagements.
Leverage CRM tools to generate customer quotes, monitor activity, and manage sales opportunities throughout the full sales cycle.
Promote products, programs, and services by executing marketing initiatives and leading customer training events.
Support sales growth through the development and tracking of annual business plans and monthly sales pipeline forecasts.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create programs, incentives, and strategies that drive volume and profitability.
Actively contributes to sales and operations planning, including budgeting and alignment with strategic goals.
Provide timely insights and feedback to internal stakeholders on market dynamics, business risks, competitive activity, and program performance.
Foster customer relationships and business development by visiting key accounts and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Represent the company at trade shows and industry conferences to promote offerings and cultivate new business opportunities.
Lead and execute special projects assigned, contributing to broader business objectives.
Qualifications
BS/BA in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Business Management or related field experience required.
Five to seven years’ experience that has demonstrated success as an individual sales contributor and sales leader with a track record of results.
Strong ability to effectively and efficiently use all Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work through last-minute changes as necessary.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the company to finish projects and/or achieve specific goals.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functional with a strong grasp of sales strategy and performance execution.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a consultative approach and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with distributors and customers.
Highly motivated, outgoing, and competitive personality with a relentless drive to succeed.
Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and a proven track record of successfully closing sales opportunities.
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with strong, polished presentation skills.
Skilled at navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
Effective at managing multiple priorities simultaneously, with a sharp focus on detail and goal attainment.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
Self-driven and adaptable professional, able to remain agile and focused in a dynamic work environment.
