The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving gross objectives daily, monthly, and yearly. They ensure that retail and fleet sales produce sufficient gross profit to meet dealership profit goals through planning, organizing, coordinating, and measuring the activities of the New- and Used-vehicle Sales Departments. Duties and Responsibilities: Make monthly projections for vehicle requirements for the upcoming 90 days. Forecast monthly and yearly sales, gross profit, and departmental profits. Set objectives with each salesperson based on forecasts, including customer flow, closing percentages, prospecting efforts, and income. Recommend procedures for advertising, sales promotions, staffing, lease promotions, compensation, customer service, and vehicle rentals. Prepare and submit weekly plans to the Dealer. Hold daily meetings with sales staff to review results and plans. Conduct sales meetings and facilitate pre-delivery with the Service Manager. Provide on-the-job training for salespeople. Ensure adherence to prospecting programs for optimal results. Review sales and profit reports with the Dealer and sales staff. Maintain balanced inventory and develop programs to move vehicles over 90 days (new) and 45 days (used). Ensure proper display, merchandising, and vehicle presentation standards. personally thank every prospect. Monitor demonstrator conditions and floor traffic. Implement factory standards to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. Conduct safety training and hazard assessments regularly. Ensure safety policies are followed, and accidents are reported immediately. Operate vehicles safely and be insurable. Meet educational and experience requirements, including a high school diploma, automotive sales experience, and dealership management experience. Authorize work in the USA, pass pre-employment tests, and hold a valid driver license. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
