As a Field Account Manager (FAM), you will be responsible for selling MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies along with Jan/San products (Janitorial and Sanitary Supplies) to an established portfolio of customers to maintain and drive sales. The candidate must live in the territory (Tulsa, OK, or just outside of it). This position offers a competitive base salary plus sales incentive bonus, laptop, cell phone, and mileage reimbursement.

Job Summary Exceeds sales and profit targets in a designated territory by implementing sales and marketing programs and establishing both short and long‑term sales strategies. Drives growth by securing profitable new accounts through industry research, networking, and proactive prospecting. Requires the use of a personal vehicle, with driving more than 50% of the average work week. An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Manage sales and customer retention initiatives to enhance overall sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Plan, forecast, and report sales activities and competitive pricing tactics.

Generate a strategic sales call schedule and conduct face‑to‑face customer visits to identify opportunities and increase sales revenue through value‑added solutions.

Identify, develop, and maintain a pipeline of qualified accounts to meet or exceed total sales and margin plans using a designated customer relationship management tool.

Focus on new account opportunities using effective cold‑call strategies to grow territory accounts.

Implement approved sales strategies to achieve targeted outcomes and foster valuable customer relationships.

Utilize Salesforce reporting and data analysis to identify opportunities for sales and revenue growth.

Review customer portfolio to identify and act on underperforming accounts.

Collaborate with inside sales to support business growth and development.

Responsibilities (additional)

Identify key barriers and apply problem‑solving skills to complex situations.

Work independently with limited instruction, determining solutions and seeking guidance only on unusual or complex issues.

Oversee project completion, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy.

Contribute to employee professional development, though no hiring/firing authority.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable environment but with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, or odors.

Mostly sitting or standing/walking; may need to lift moderate weight (8–20 pounds).

Occasional overnight travel (less than 10%).

Education and Experience

Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline with 5–8 years of related experience, or a MS/MA with 3–5 years of related experience.

Certification required in some areas.
