Compensation Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year (varies depending on experience & qualifications)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
Perform work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct complex and heavy-duty repairs.
Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including Store Manager, Service Consultants and customers.
Recommend services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly document all recommendations in customer file.
Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to direct supervisor.
Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Work flexible schedules, Monday – Friday.
Qualifications
Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
ASE certifications acceptable in lieu of experience.
Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
Valid Driver’s license.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Temperatures vary and may include extreme heat or cold. Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas.
Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion with arms and hands; handle/finger objects frequently.
Lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 70 pounds frequently.
Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.
