Account Executive - Nutraceutical Ingredient Sales

Our client is a supplier of raw materials to Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Supplement manufacturers across the USA. We are looking to hire a sales professional who can call on customers to secure new business and increase sales. Someone who loves to sell, has a willingness to travel to meet with customers (via car or plane), and loves to help provide solutions for customers. Prior experience selling raw materials, ingredients, packaging, supplies, or capsules to nutritional supplement manufacturers in the southeastern USA is REQUIRED, Candidates should currently be residing in one of these states: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina.
Duties / Responsibilities
Sell our line of products to end-use customers. All sales are B2B.
Quote prices, take orders, recommend products that a customer might want to use.
Follow up on leads from phone inquiries, the website, and trade shows.
Assist with trade show presentations, schedules, and follow up.
Responsible for continual new business development.
Create a positive and engaging rapport with customers.
Work with senior management to create and disseminate a marketing plan.
Use web-based sales management tools to improve overall sales efficiencies.
Qualifications
College degree is required. A specific degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, or similar is preferred.
Prior experience working for a company that makes and/or sells value-added chemicals, functional food ingredients, nutritional ingredients, pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs, capsules, excipients, packaging, enclosures, blister-packs, or equipment is required.
Prior experience calling on scientists, chemists, and purchasing managers in the nutritional supplement manufacturing industries is required.
Personal Attributes desired: Hunter mentality, new business development, generation of new accounts, motivated, enthusiastic, charismatic, impeccable follow up skills, highly organized and efficient, ability to sell value and distinguish oneself, desire to learn new things, team player.
Excellent communication skills and time management skills
Computer literate and proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite products
Willing and able to travel overnight 30% of the time to call on customers in person
