As an Account Executive, you’ll be the growth engine for local businesses, helping them tap into a world of opportunities with multi-platform advertising solutions. From Over The Top (OTT) video to SEO/SEM, social media, digital displays, e-mail targeting, and broadcast TV, you’ll offer a full toolbox of marketing solutions that drive measurable success.
Responsibilities
Unleash Advertising Success: Sell game-changing advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies, helping brands grow.
Custom Solutions for Maximum Impact: Use the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to understand client needs, craft tailored advertising strategies, and deliver impressive ROI.
Beyond TV Ads: Sell television airtime and unlock digital marketing strategies to maximize exposure across platforms.
Go-Getter Sales: Independently hunt new opportunities, secure appointments, assess client needs, and close deals across traditional and non-traditional advertisers.
Negotiate Like a Pro: Use data and trends to maximize revenue and deliver customized solutions.
Trusted Advisor & Client Relationships: Build deep client relationships, provide top-tier service, and drive long-lasting partnerships with potential referrals.
Client Services Champion: Manage media avail negotiations, campaign execution, presentation prep, copywriting, credit applications, and revenue collection.
Sales Funnel Management: Maintain CRM records, track metrics, and hit sales goals with precision.
Creative Collaboration: Contribute ideas to campaigns and work with clients to craft stories and visuals, including production input when appropriate.
Relationship Building & Professional Presence: Maintain strong client connections and engage in appropriate relationship-building activities.
Administrative Excellence: Keep CRM updated, resolve media issues, track account information, and communicate with leadership to stay on track.
Other Duties: Adapt to a variety of tasks as they arise.
Qualifications
A BS/BA in a related field is preferred (but relevant experience will be considered).
2+ years of sales success is desired.
