Overview
Regional Sales Manager role based in Duluth, GA/Remote or Queensbury, NY/Remote. Oversees independent representative organizations and may have supervisory responsibilities for Territory Managers in certain locations. Reports to HVAC/R - VP of HVAC Sales and Morris – National Sales Manager. FLSA Classification: Exempt. EEOC Classification: Sales Workers. Salary Grade: Not specified. Location(s): Duluth, GA/Remote; Queensbury, NY/Remote. Summary: The primary responsibility is to expand market share within the trade channel by selling through wholesale distributors, overseeing manufacturers’ representatives and/or Territory Managers, and executing sales and marketing directives for the DiversiTech product line in assigned regions. The role involves direct participation in the sales process, overseeing the sales plan, managing the manufacturer’s representative network and/or Territory Managers, and achieving revenue and margin goals. The Regional Sales Manager influences product mix, suggests product needs, and identifies marketing opportunities for DiversiTech Product Line Managers. It is accountable for overseeing the sales process, management, value validation, and revenue outcomes for each strategic account. This role uses the DiversiTech Account Management Sales process and the Keep, Convert, Grow (KCG) pipeline. It also involves establishing and nurturing new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones to expand the business. Essential Duties
Increase sales of products through appropriate distribution channels by visiting distributor corporate and branch locations. Perform annual Account Discovery planning for customer Value Confirmation at National, Strategic, and Top Core Accounts within the Region(s). Manage and direct manufacturer’s representatives’ and/or Territory Managers’ activities and pipeline performance to expand the target market channel. Meet or exceed the established sales budget. Evaluate, identify, and recommend products with the DiversiTech engineering and sourcing departments to add high-value products that expand the product portfolio. Collaborate with the Pricing Manager on pricing strategies for product lines. Collaborate with the Marketing team to implement regional and national customer marketing plans. Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic direction to increase sales through the wholesale distribution channel. Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cadences as required within the DiversiTech Sales Process. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field 5 – 7 years of experience managing sales representatives in a region or nationwide territory in a manufacturing or distribution environment Intermediate experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience utilizing a CRM Knowledge of HVACR or Electrical and lighting products, two-step distribution selling models and commercial customers in the US HVACR and/or Electrical market Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities for establishing and overseeing independent manufacturers’ representatives Experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment Proactive “self-starter” with a strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all employee levels including executive management, as well as customers Exhibits professional sales and persuasive communication skills in one-on-one and group presentations Capable of reaching decision makers and gaining commitment Adept listening and probing skills to understand customers’ needs Valid Driver’s License Working Conditions
Work from a remote location (home office). Regular use of office equipment including computers, phones, and printers. Occasional overtime may be required. Travel: Yes, 75 – 100%. Physical Demands
