Sales Manager The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the automotive sales department. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

Regional posting for multiple dealerships in the Seattle Area as needed.

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high‑performing sales team.

Motivate and inspire the team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.

Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.

Ensure adherence to the dealership's sales process and best practices.

Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.

Implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.

Foster a customer‑centric, hospitality‑based culture within the sales department.

Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

Ensure that customers have a positive and memorable experience throughout the sales process.

Collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain adequate inventory levels.

Manage vehicle turn rates and minimize stock obsolescence.

Monitor and analyze the department's financial performance.

Develop and implement strategies to increase profitability.

Manage expenses within budget.

Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and dealership policies.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness, optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self‑awareness, and integrity.

3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5+ years in an F&I or Floor Manager role.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.

Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes.

Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.

Standing and walking: There may be times when the sales manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings.

Reaching and bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.

Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.
