CP&P is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to promote and sell our products and services to prospective clients in the Charlotte, NC area. In this role, you’ll pursue new business opportunities, foster strong customer relationships, and help ensure an exceptional experience for our clients.

What You’ll Do

Develop and implement effective strategies to drive sales

Identify new business opportunities through market research and outreach

Build and maintain customer relationships through regular site and office visits

Respond to customer inquiries and provide product recommendations and quotes

Educate clients on product features and benefits

Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules

Submit new project awards with required documentation

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

Maintain detailed records of sales activity and provide regular reports

What You Bring

Proven sales experience, ideally in the construction or building materials industry

Familiarity with or willingness to learn CP&P products and their applications

Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and sales analytics tools

Ability to read construction plans, perform takeoffs, and prepare estimates

What You Need

A high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience preferred

U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Typical Schedule

Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week, depending on workload

Regular travel will be required to meet with clients within the assigned territory

Physical Demands

Standing, sitting, walking, climbing, reaching, bending/stooping

Lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

Pushing/pulling (up to 50 lbs.)

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment, with clean, climate‑controlled areas and fluorescent lighting

Work may also be performed at a home office or alternate site

May occasionally enter production environments or visit job sites with ambient weather/air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in all production areas
