Job Description This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field‑based Account Executive. You’ll collaborate closely with sales leadership to shape go‑to‑market strategies and launch groundbreaking cancer screening technologies that will directly impact patients’ lives. In this role, you’ll promote the Shield colorectal cancer (CRC) blood test to healthcare providers in the primary care setting, driving early detection of cancer and helping save lives and reduce healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets by prospecting, building relationships, and executing national sales strategies.

Target and engage healthcare providers, gaining their commitment to adopt the Shield test for CRC and other cancers.

Engage in challenger selling, understanding provider needs and demonstrating how Guardant Health’s offerings improve patient outcomes and streamline practice workflows.

Educate and support providers through in‑depth product knowledge and training to gain stakeholder buy‑in beyond the provider.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (clinical, marketing, product) to align sales strategies and share feedback.

Identify new business opportunities within territory and foster collaborations with regional and local laboratories.

Develop and execute business plans in line with brand strategies to launch new cancer screening technologies.

Monitor competitive landscape, analyze market trends, and share insights with leadership.

Provide high‑touch customer service, resolving issues proactively, and maintaining excellent service standards.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

4+ years in a customer‑facing sales role within the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales) with a proven track record of success.

Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood‑based testing or cancer screening products, and familiarity with primary care landscape is preferred.

Proven ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings; experience planning and executing product launches is a plus.

Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape and ability to learn and apply technical product knowledge quickly.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.

CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms).

Superior negotiation, problem‑solving, and customer service skills; high‑touch customer service and relationship‑building skills are preferred.

Personal Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Travel flexibility for daily territory visits and occasional national travel.

Compensation US Location Base Pay Range: $116,000 – $133,000.

Hybrid Work Model This section applies to onsite employees eligible for hybrid work. Guardant has defined days for in‑person collaboration and work‑from‑home days. Employees living within 50 miles of a Guardant facility are required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
