Account Executive
is a role at a well-established insurance brokerage with a 100-year history. The position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse book of middle‑market accounts, supported by an Associate Account Manager who will help with day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing exceptional service and risk management expertise.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through in-person meetings and ongoing communication.
Retain and grow the book of business by leveraging strong marketing, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
Work closely with underwriters to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
Oversee the preparation of applications, proposals, and detailed Excel spreadsheets.
Qualifications:
NYS Property & Casualty license (required).
Strong underwriting, coverage knowledge, and technical expertise.
Experience with both admitted and non-admitted carriers, including rating systems and carrier portals.
Proven ability to quote, bind, and issue policies via carrier systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to multitask, adapt to client needs, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
A team player with a collaborative mindset and high professional standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Epic is a plus.
