We have an opportunity for an Inside Sales Manager to join our Charlotte, NC team. You will lead and develop a new Inside Sales team within the Pool business category. This role is key to formalizing and scaling Pentair's inside sales function as part of a broader Go-to-Market strategy. The primary goal is to increase revenues and profitability by managing and developing the Inside Sales team to service existing accounts and pursue new ones. The manager will guide the team in achieving growth targets and maximizing market penetration, focusing on serving targeted dealer accounts, especially smaller or previously underserved segments. The role requires close collaboration with distributors and the broader sales team, including Field Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Technical Service, and Customer Service, to enhance customer experience and drive sales growth. This position offers an opportunity to leverage experience in establishing and leading inside sales teams within organizations that utilize both inside and outside sales functions, helping to define and refine processes, roles, and handoffs for efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will: Achieve or surpass sales quotas for the Inside Sales team. Develop, implement, and lead a focused sales strategy aligned with the Pool business unit's objectives. Manage, coach, and develop Inside Sales Representatives to meet company goals and foster a shared purpose. Work with Sales Operations to evaluate and define criteria for the targeted inside sales account list, which will be fluid. Protect and grow the existing book of business transferred to the Inside Sales team. Establish and manage processes for lead management, qualification, current customer management, and sales cycle stages. Ensure the team responds efficiently to all sales leads generated by marketing and other channels. Collaborate with outside sales (TSMs) to define roles and seamless account transition processes. Coordinate sales activities and communicate customer requirements across departments. Develop and organize sales and marketing reports to monitor performance. Utilize Salesforce CRM to track activities, manage pipelines, and drive results. Promote a culture of relationship building and technical competence within the team. Develop and implement sales policies to maximize market penetration. Collaborate on business strategy for smaller revenue accounts. Assist in resolving field problems and supporting distributors with orders. Support SIOP forecasting with sales data. Key Qualifications: At least 5 years in sales, with experience managing and developing high-performing Inside Sales teams. Experience building or scaling inside sales functions in organizations with both inside and outside sales teams. Deep understanding of multi-step sales environments (Channel Partners, Distribution, Dealers). Mastery of Salesforce or similar CRM tools. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating strategic thinking. Bonus: Direct experience in the swimming pool industry. Compensation: The anticipated salary range is $118,400 - $219,900/year, based on experience and other factors. The actual salary will be determined considering experience, education, location, and organizational needs. The role may include bonuses and incentives.
