Director of Producer Development (Commonly referred to as Sales Manager in the industry) Location: Northern California | Hybrid | Full-Time, Exempt About the Role
The Director of Business Development sets the vision and drives new business growth for Bender Insurance Solutions. You’ll lead a team of producers, establish prospecting strategies, and expand BIS’s reach in the marketplace. This role is focused exclusively on new client acquisition and sales team leadership. What You’ll Do
Develop and execute prospecting and growth strategies aligned with company goals. Recruit, lead, mentor, and evaluate producers for performance and accountability. Collaborate with Marketing and department heads to design lead generation campaigns. Represent BIS at industry associations, networking events, and community forums. Monitor and report on sales KPIs, ensuring consistent achievement of new business targets. What You Bring
7+ years of business development experience, 5+ in commercial insurance. Active Property & Casualty license. 3+ years of management experience with proven leadership of sales teams and a strong record of exceeding new business goals. Expertise in strategic sales, negotiation, and consultative client engagement. Familiarity with agency management systems and Microsoft Office. What Sets Us Apart
