We’re looking for a
Sales Manager – Service/Repair/Modernization
to join our client’s growing team in
San Leandro, CA . In this role, you’ll lead a dynamic sales force across all three lines of business—service, repair, and modernization—while driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do: You’ll play a pivotal role in leading your branch’s sales operations, mentoring your team, and executing strategies that deliver profitable growth and a superior customer experience.
Lead for Results:
Set performance targets and lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals. Conduct quarterly reviews and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
Drive Strategic Growth:
Implement sales initiatives aligned with corporate goals to increase revenue, profitability, and market share across all business lines.
Own the Customer Relationship:
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, regular site visits, and a focus on long-term partnerships.
Oversee Sales Operations:
Monitor branch sales activities through CRM, guide the bidding process, and ensure timely and compliant submission of proposals and contracts.
Ensure Quality & Profitability:
Collaborate on bidding strategies that ensure margin targets are met. Analyze branch performance metrics including P&L, backlog, and pipeline to stay on track.
Elevate the Brand:
Develop consistent, compelling sales messaging and tools to support your team in winning new business. Lead efforts to continuously improve proposal quality and sales presentations.
Be a Market Expert:
Stay ahead of market trends, competitive strategies, and customer needs in the greater Los Angeles area.
Promote Safety & Satisfaction:
Support a culture of safety across the branch and ensure customer satisfaction initiatives are implemented across departments.
What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of sales experience; or 3+ years of elevator sales experience
Proven success in B2B field sales with a focus on services in competitive markets
Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing a sales team
Solid understanding of proposal development, contract negotiation, and CRM systems
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial reports and drive decision
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Bonus points for experience guiding technical teams or reading architectural/technical plans
Location: San Leandro – Local travel required to client sites and projects
What Our Client Offers: Salary range: $122,000-$158,000 with additional bi-annual incentive compensation 0% - 87.5%. The role offers a car allowance and fuel card.
The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, office location, etc.
Provided they meet all eligibility requirement under the applicable plan documents, employees will be offered medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, supplemental medical plans, basic life insurance, AD&D, short term and long term disability, optional life and AD&D, optional spouse and dependent life insurance, dependent life insurance, flexible spend account, health savings account, identity theft monitoring, pet insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Wellness program, and tuition reimbursement. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Relocation assistance offered for candidates relocating more than 50 miles for this position.
Employees will receive 15 days of paid time off (PTO) per year. Employees will enjoy 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and 5 paid days of sick leave. Up to six weeks of paid parental leave will be available for use after successful completion of 90-days of full-time employment. Eligibility requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents.
