The compensation for this position is between $140,000 – $210,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.”

This position will include 20% variable compensation.

Join Our Team as a Key Account Manager at Epiroc! The Key Account Manager is a critically important position is responsible for analyzing this customer’s total business relationship with Epiroc and determining the best channels, products and services needed to expand our market share, presence and profitability. The successful employee is expected to support the current organization with value added information and data to support sales and marketing of capital equipment and the associated spare parts, service and drilling tools. The Key Account Manager will need to have strong communication and collaboration with our Business Lines Managers (BLMs), and develop and manage an integrated multi-level relationship within the customer’s organization.

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Work Type:

Onsite – Flexible working hours as per customer requirement. Extensive travelling to the customer site

Responsibilities

Develop a complete understanding of the customer needs, operations and strategy and design/implement a custom marketing plan to increase market share and profitability

Assume P&L responsibility for the account

Ensure same level of global sales and service for the account

Facilitate periodic business review meetings with the account with appropriate personnel in attendance

Utilize project management tools and techniques for proposals and contracts to track costs and overall progress on increasing market share

Manage all communication and messaging from Epiroc to the account. This may include professional presentations using PowerPoint and verbal presentations in front of groups

Secure and maintain accurate information on Fleet (Epiroc and competitor) usage, drilling parameters and efficiency to develop strategic business cases and identify upcoming threats/opportunities

Ensure that monthly reporting and market intelligence, feedback, and industry trends are properly reported to the respective business lines

Communicate regularly with counterparts within the Epiroc USA Customer Center

Prepare regular reports of forecasts and progress to internal stakeholders

Implement strategic initiatives and help introduce new products

Participate in local trade associations and trade shows

Travel to customer locations as needed to successfully fulfill goals

Able to travel domestically to work on product and process development with various stakeholders

Manage, develop and lead direct reports and execute processes of full employee life cycle (i.e. recruiting, onboarding, performance management, responsible feedback, training and development, other HR metrics) and use strategic vision to create appropriate succession plans.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred due to the technical nature of this position; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

At least 10 years’ of experience in the US mining/construction industries

At least 5 years’ of direct sales or OEM dealer management is preferred

Direct experience with the customer’s operations, planning and strategy is highly preferred

Possess an analytical and structured approach to the business with good understanding of financial statements and solid business principles

Familiarity with Epiroc USA’s existing and potential customer bases in the United States

Highly developed collaboration skills, i.e. teamwork, knowledge sharing and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is required

Previous use or applicable knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software

Advanced verbal, written and presentation communication skills with a strong customer focus are required

Travel is approximately 60% of the time, anywhere in the USA, with possible travel overseas

Must live within close proximity of a major airport and able to conveniently travel via air and/or car to visit their customer base.

Maintain courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times
