As a Metro Market Sales Manager, you will establish distribution and develop sales of Company products (ZigZag, Fre, Stokers, etc.) within an assigned metro city using fact-based, financial selling skills. This role involves identifying, calling on, and managing retail and wholesale accounts to expand distribution and increase sales volume. You will identify sales opportunities across all trade classes and execute quality sales calls to boost product visibility, availability, and consumer take-away at retail within your geography. This is an outside sales position, requiring daily travel to customer locations, with up to 25% overnight travel depending on the territory. The typical workweek is 40 hours in the field, with extended hours as needed. Additional duties may be assigned by your supervisor. Essential Functions Lead sales and distribution within your designated geography, focusing on a specific Metro City within the US, to achieve annual goals, including merchandising as needed. Sell company initiatives via in-store cash sales to new business partners in under-developed markets, including gaining new item distribution, executing pricing and promotional plans, and managing inventory levels and freshness where applicable. Leverage data and available information to conduct fact-based conversations with new and existing business partners to achieve sales goals. Track and measure progress against sell-in initiatives and goals, adjusting plans in collaboration with your manager to ensure results. Manage a product contingency fund to support product availability, promotions, and fill low or out-of-stock situations. Handle administrative tasks, including managing point-of-sale materials. Minimum Qualifications Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, influencing successful business outcomes. Critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate and offer creative solutions in various selling situations. Ability to build financially astute and analytically driven sales plans that generate results. Purposeful planning and prioritization to achieve results with limited guidance. Knowledge of industry trends and competitors. Ability to develop new account relationships and collaborate well in a team environment. Motivated, self-starter with a dedication to individual and business growth. Willingness to create and foster new relationships in new markets with limited previous sales history. Proficiency with technological platforms, especially CRM systems like Salesforce. Prior sales experience or a strong commitment to a fast-paced learning environment. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds of product or marketing materials. Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including FDA regulations. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and sales experience in a similar industry. Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $55,000-$60,000 plus commissions with no cap on earnings.
