Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Account Executive to drive new business growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with prospects seeking AWS cloud solutions. This role combines prospecting and business development with consultative selling to help organizations begin or accelerate their cloud transformation journey. The ideal candidate will be a hunter mentality professional who thrives on building relationships from the ground up and guiding prospects through the entire sales cycle to successful closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and prospect new business opportunities through various channels including cold outreach, networking, referrals, and marketing-generated leads
Conduct discovery sessions and needs assessments to understand prospect business challenges, technical requirements, and strategic objectives related to cloud adoption
Develop compelling value propositions and present AWS cloud solutions that align with prospect needs and demonstrate clear ROI and business benefits
Own the complete sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and closure, maintaining accurate pipeline management and forecasting
Build and nurture relationships with key decision makers and influencers across prospect organizations, including IT leaders, business stakeholders, and executive teams
Collaborate with technical teams and solutions architects to develop customized proposals and deliver compelling demonstrations of AWS capabilities
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements while ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term partnership potential
Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through consistent activity levels and effective opportunity management
Maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM system
Stay current with AWS services, competitive landscape, and industry trends to effectively position solutions and overcome objections

Qualifications:
Required Experience
2-4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology services or software solutions
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and targets
Experience with full-cycle sales process from prospecting through contract closure
Proven ability to build relationships and navigate complex decision-making processes
Technical Requirements
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS services (training will be provided)
Familiarity with enterprise technology landscapes and common business challenges
Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences
Comfort with CRM systems, sales tools, and technology platforms
Professional Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
Experience with solution selling methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, etc.)
Existing network of contacts in target market segments
Background in technology consulting or professional services
