The Oilfield Electrical & Automation Sales Assistant supports the sales and service teams in delivering high-quality
electrical, automation, VFD, and fiber optic
solutions to customers across the oil and gas industry. This position plays a key role in maintaining customer relationships, assisting with administrative sales functions, and helping identify and pursue new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of using multiple platforms to
generate and develop solid sales leads while contributing to a high-performing, customer-focused team. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Relationship Management Accompany sales representatives on client visits to promote
electrical, automation, VFD, and fiber optic services . Assist in maintaining relationships with existing customers and provide consistent follow-up and communication. Represent the company professionally and advocate respectfully for both the customer’s and company’s interests. Utilize
multiple platforms
(CRM, LinkedIn, industry databases, trade events, referrals, etc.) to
research, identify, and generate qualified leads . Collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into active opportunities. Support marketing and outreach efforts to expand visibility across the Permian and Delaware Basin regions. Assist with
weekly VFD repair invoicing , tracking, and reporting. Perform
weekly CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
updates to ensure data accuracy and timely follow-up. Support the team with
RFP (Request for Proposal)
entries, document preparation, and submissions. Participate in
weekly updates
with the
Service Line Manager
to stay informed on current projects and customer activity. Technical & Service Coordination Help coordinate scheduling for
VFD repairs, automation projects, and fiber optic installations . Communicate between field technicians, customers, and management to ensure seamless project execution. Track job status, service performance, and assist with post-project invoicing and documentation. Communication & Availability Remain accessible and responsive to customers and internal teams
24/7 , except during approved PTO. Ensure consistent and professional communication across departments and with clients. Travel & Field Work Travel frequently throughout the
Permian and Delaware Basin
regions for client meetings, site visits, and sales support. Gain hands-on exposure to oilfield
electrical, automation, VFD, and fiber optic systems to enhance technical understanding. Qualifications Strong interest or experience in
oilfield electrical, automation, VFD, or fiber optic systems . Proven ability or strong motivation to
generate and qualify leads
using multiple sales and networking platforms. Excellent
communication, organization, and multitasking
skills. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital research tools. Professional, reliable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when needed. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Preferred Experience (Not Required) Background in
oilfield electrical or automation services ,
VFD systems , or
fiber optic infrastructure . Experience using
LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or similar tools for lead generation. Customer service, project coordination, or sales support experience in an industrial environment. This position offers a growth pathway toward a
