Sales Coordinator
to join our team! The role supports the Director of Sales, Business Development Managers, and Sales & Catering Managers in managing sales operations.
Essential Functions
Serve as the first impression of the hotel, capturing all inbound inquiries, emails, walk‑ins, and RFPs.
Thoroughly qualify all business opportunities and assign leads to appropriate sellers.
Enter lead details and other data into Delphi.fdc.
Generate proposals and contracts for senior sales staff to review and send to clients.
Maintain a strong customer service ethic, exceed client expectations, and deliver authentic hospitality.
Actively participate in Columbus Hospitality sales initiatives including training, sales blitzes, joint sales calls, and referrals to sister properties as needed.
Assist the sales team with prospecting research.
Create and post social media content on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Provide required daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
Inspect and prepare guest rooms and/or meeting spaces for site tours with the sales team.
Prepare collateral for distribution during site tours (folders, inserts, maps, handouts).
Offer administrative support: faxing, mailing, filing, copying, client data updates in Delphi.fdc, and guest files.
Provide office and phone coverage.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The duties outlined are a general guide. In this CHM/NHCC sales position, associates must adapt to changing business demands, with responsibilities shifting as markets evolve.
Physical Requirements Regularly required to drive, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, speak and listen. Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. Reasonable accommodation can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Excellent interpersonal skills in person and by phone with high professionalism.
Superb organizational skills – ability to prioritize, multi‑task, direct, and solve problems effectively.
Highly enthusiastic, self‑motivated.
Effective time management and ability to prioritize projects.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, mail merges, email, and web searches.
Preferred: previous conference center or hotel experience.
Strong attention to detail and prompt follow‑up skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
