Bilingual Inside Sales Representative - Job Description
Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Report to: Branch Manager
PMI Pipe, Steel & Supplies Bilingual Inside Sales Representatives are to participate in our sales operations and activities. A Bilingual Inside Sales Representative works with customers to ensure a smooth sales process. They must demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism during in-store and follow-up with customers. They must develop leads and seek opportunities to present additional products to current customers.
Responsibilities
Responsible for product knowledge to answer customer questions
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up, cold calls, and emails.
Greet customers and create rapport
Responsible for closing deals and processing payments
Responsible for customer follow‑up
Developing leads and referrals
Achieve monthly sales quotas
Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers
Report any inventory or pricing discrepancies to the branch manager.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Have an excellent knowledge of company inventory
Understand customer needs and requirements
Respond in a timely manner to company email, voicemail, and text
Attend monthly sales meetings.
Identify slow‑moving items.
Coordinate purchasing with all locations.
Utilize all 7 locations’ inventory for sales, if needed
Other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma, some college a plus.
3+ years of experience in sales or similar work experience.
Requirements
Spanish Speaking
Possess excellent customer service skills
Must be knowledgeable on store products
Good phone skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Dress and perform job duties in a professional manner
Follow company procedures and employee manual
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to read, write and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and training.
Able to read tape measure/caliper.
Must be proficient in simple math; add, subtract, multiply, and divide – weights, length, size, etc.
Other Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to sit, squat, twist, reach and stand/walk for an entire workday
Ability to walk in a gravel yard and hard indoor surface to review stock many times each day
Spanish (plus)
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Experience working with Profit 21 or similar ERP
Proficient with Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word
