Atlantic Tire Distributors located in Richmond, VA, is currently seeking a full-time Key Account Manager to join our team. Full benefit package offered, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) + Profit Sharing, paid holidays, vacation time, company paid life insurance, and short-term disability.
Summary As a Key Account Manager, you will drive business growth and maintain strong relationships with car dealers in key markets including Richmond and Roanoke, VA. The customer base includes GM, Mopar, Ford, and import new car dealers. This role involves devising strategic plans to maximize value from key accounts, fostering trust-based partnerships, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth through innovative solutions and proactive problem-solving. You will stay informed about industry trends and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences and sustainable business success.
Responsibilities
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
Enhance market share and foster loyalty among existing customers to strengthen position.
Exceed sales targets and operational benchmarks within designated territory.
Formulate and implement tailored account strategies to drive revenue growth.
Craft and execute comprehensive business plans to drive sustained expansion.
Provide insights into advantageous tire purchasing programs to customers.
Foster and maintain productive relationships with tire manufacturer representatives.
Monitor and disseminate competitive intelligence, including pricing and marketing strategies.
Collaborate with logistics teams to elevate customer service standards.
Address and resolve customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain thorough knowledge of current and upcoming product offerings.
Ensure account financials remain current through collaboration with the credit department.
Participate in industry events to cultivate networks and fortify relationships.
Serve as a conduit between customers and the warranty department to expedite resolution of claims.
Adhere to Atlantic Tire’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Excellent sales skills with experience in consultative selling.
Understanding of basic business finance principles.
Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work remotely and use technology to maintain productivity in field operations.
Solid grasp of the retail sales process and strategic customer engagement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and iPhone apps.
Travel Key Account Managers will travel within their assigned territory and are expected to be customer-facing about 90% of the workday. Little to no overnight travel required. Travel is by motor vehicle; no flights required.
