Assistant Salon Director
Sun Tan City, a leading family‑owned tanning salon chain, is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence.
Job Summary This role maintains a high‑energy, client‑centric environment, supervises tanning consultants, and leads by example to meet or exceed productivity goals.
Responsibilities
Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast‑paced environment
Lead by example, creating a client‑centric experience and meeting sales expectations
Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment
Set clear goals and objectives for Team Members
Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve team performance
Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions
Assist the Salon Director in controlling top‑line revenue and expenses
Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs
Work nights, Saturdays, and Sundays as required for management coverage
Travel to the bank as needed
Work five days per week, approximately 40–45 hours per week
Qualifications
College education preferred, but not required
Management and/or sales experience required
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage effectively in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple situations simultaneously
Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices
Problem‑solving and organizational/Planning skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor
Team‑building skills
Ability to prioritize and delegate
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for long periods
Bend at waist to clean tanning equipment
Lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes
Bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from floors
Perform salon cleaning functions: dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing
Benefits and Pay Pay : $18.00–$19.00 per hour plus performance‑based bonuses and personal & manager bonuses.
