At 1Password, our SMB Sales team drives growth across one of our most important customer segments. As the Manager, SMB Sales, you’ll lead a high‑performing team focused on acquiring new customers within businesses of up to 1,000 employees. You’ll oversee day‑to‑day operations, coach team members, refine sales strategies, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver consistent revenue growth.
This is a hybrid opportunity open to candidates based in Austin, Texas.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience in SaaS sales, preferably within the cybersecurity space, with an additional 1–2 years of experience in a people leadership role with proven success developing and managing sales teams
Strong understanding of the security landscape and key stakeholder needs
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage executives and cross‑functional partners
Demonstrated experience implementing and refining sales methodologies
Strong analytical and operational mindset, with experience using data to inform strategy and drive results
Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Looker, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, and other sales platforms
Experience managing sales processes, creating structure, and improving team efficiency in fast‑paced environments
Bonus: Personal or professional experience with 1Password or similar password managers
What You Can Expect
Partner with the Sr. Manager of SMB Sales to build and execute a strategic plan aligned with 1Password’s business objectives
Lead, coach, and develop a diverse, world‑class sales team focused on driving new business growth within the SMB segment
Drive predictable pipeline creation through a mix of inbound and outbound programs in partnership with Marketing and Sales Development
Manage daily sales operations, ensuring accuracy in pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement to optimize lead flow, conversion rates, and customer experience
Implement scalable sales methodologies to ensure effective deal qualification, progression, and closure
Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and development to empower team success and career growth
Analyze performance metrics, surface insights, and drive data‑informed decisions to improve team effectiveness
Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and training processes to support team expansion and performance excellence
USA‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $97,000 USD and $131,000 USD, and is commission‑eligible. This role is also immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. At 1Password, we approach each individual’s compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
