Eligibility and Location Remote position with travel focused in the North Central region of the United States.
Responsibilities As a Regional Sales Manager, you’ll develop medical stop loss/captive program projects and opportunities in the Northcentral Region. You will devise and execute a detailed, focused sales plan to identify target markets and meet sales goals, direct distribution of group captive programs by building a network of preferred producers, create new distribution outlets, and facilitate marketing efforts using alternative distribution methods including cross‑marketing through the Berkley family of companies, email blasts, newsletters, and attendance at industry events and seminars. Training in captives is provided, provided you have stop‑loss sales experience.

We’ll Count on You To
Develop and manage distribution within the assigned Northcentral Region
Identify sources, industries, organizations, and business alliances that present opportunities for new program development
Generate and facilitate a high monthly volume of pre‑qualified submissions for an open portfolio of captive programs
Support growth initiatives of established programs
Call on and develop relationships with agencies and sources within the assigned region
Establish and maintain relationships and program status with key contacts at all existing and assigned programs
Leverage Berkley ESL sales team relationships, established sources, and referrals to increase new program pipeline and existing program growth
Seek out and increase expertise in various current and emerging risk management solutions
Qualifications
10+ years sales experience, with an emphasis on medical stop‑loss insurance (will train in captives)
Knowledge of principles and methods for selling group insurance products, including marketing strategy and sales presentations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external customers
Ability to be productive independently, yet work in a team environment
Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills
